I work as a graphic designer1 in Brooklyn, NY, where I focus on projects for and with artists, (cultural) institutions, friends and myself.2 These projects often become websites, identities, printed matter, 3D rendered images, videos, audio, gifs, pdfs, workshops, performances, lectures and more.

I am motivated by a desire to understand the technologies I use in my design practice. Learning, and sharing knowledge with others drives the code and design classes I teach at Parsons/The New School and most of the self-initiated collaborations I participate in.

Together with Lukas Engelhardt I maintain a small single-board computer as a server and starting point for a range of activities, performances and installations—online, and AFK. Most recently we published a self-hosting manual with Ada Reinthal. As an affiliated researcher at the Institute of Network Cultures, Amsterdam I also write an occasional blog.

I am comfortable working in an array of software3, programming languages4 and collaborative environments.
